哈佛文献标注方法包含两个部分:正文中的文内引用和结尾的参考文献列表。The Harvard System requires two elements: in-text citations throughout your assignment, and a list of references at the end. 

一、正文中：文内引用 (In-text citation) 

（一）文中不出现作者姓名如果引用作者的某句话或者某个观点，就在这句 话的末尾加 （），（）内要标注作者的姓名和该文章出版的年份，如 (Author 2005)。如： Making reference to published work appears to be characteristic of writing for a  professional audience (Cormack1994). 注意整个句子的句号标在括号以后，在 句子的最末尾。 如：(Jones1946; Smith 1948) 如：Recent research has found that the majority of…… (Green et al 1995). 

（二）文中出现作者姓名 如果正文中出现了作者的姓名，如 xxx said/ concluded/ suggests….则在姓名 后面加 （），（）内只要标注年份即可，如（2005）。 如：Cormack (1994, p.32-33) states that 'when writing for a professional  readership, writers in variably make reference to already published works'. 如：Jones (1946) and Smith (1948) have both shown…… 如：Green et al (1995) found that the majority …… 

(三) 其他情况 如果一个作者同年出版了两本书，如 2005 年，要这样标：(Author 2005a) 或 (Author 2005b)；如果在一篇文章中引用多篇报纸文章，要表明这篇报纸 文章的具体日期，如(The Guardian, October 18, 2005)。 

二、文末： 参考文献列表（List of reference）

在文末要列参考文献列表。英文文献在前，中文文献在后。中文文献作者使 用全名，按作者姓氏拼音音序排列。除文章题目加书名号外，其余遵照 Harvard 文献引用格式。

（一）一个作者

1、引用书籍： 姓氏，名字的首个大写字母, 年份. 书本名称（斜体）. 第几版. 出版社地点：出版社. 页码. 如: Redman, P., 2006. Good essay writing: a social sciences guide.3rd ed. London:  Open University in assoc. with Sage.

2、期刊 姓氏，名字的首个大写字母., 年份. 文章名.期刊名（斜体）, 第几卷 （Volume）第几期. （number）,页码. Perry, C., 2001. What health care assistants know about clean hands. Nursing  Times,97(22),p.63-64. Boughton, J.M., 2002. The Bretton Woods proposal: an indepth look. Political  Science Quarterly, 42(6), p.564-78. 

3、电子书 Fishman, R., 2005. The rise and fall of suburbia. [e-book]. Chester: Castle Press. Available at: libweb.anglia.ac.uk/ E-books [accessed 5June2005]

4、从网上下载的论文或者是电子杂志 姓氏，名字的首个大写字母., 年份. 文章名.期刊名（斜体）,第几卷 （Volume）第几期. （number）,页码. 网址. Jenkings, R.,1989. Clashing with caching. ARIADNE, [Online] Issue 21,10  September. Available at: http://www.ariadne.ac.uk/issue21/web-cache/ [accessed2 December 2004]

5、报纸上的文章 姓氏，名字的首个大写字母, 年份. 文章名.报纸名（斜体）,该文章发表的 日期，页码. Slapper, G., 2005. Corporate manslaughter: new issues for lawyers. The Times, 3 Sep. p.4-5. 

（二）两个作者

两个作者之间用 and 或者&链接，其他同（一） 如：Kirk, J.& Munday, R.J., 1988. Narrative analysis. 3rd ed. Bloomington: Indiana University Press.

（三）三个或者三个以上作者
